A couple of weeks back, I was joined by friends from Technogym, LuluLuemon, Misfit and my partner in nutritious crime Dr. Michelle Storfer – along with a group of fabulous attendees – to discuss ‘The Future of Fitness’ at the Hoxton Hotel Holborn for an event hosted by Cointreau (phew, long sentence)! The reason I wanted to bring these panellists together is because I think there’s been a totally seismic shift in the health and fitness industry over the last few years, especially in terms of how we consume it through social media. People are partaking of daily fitspo like never before, and the health-conscious are joining a growing on-line community where people display nutritious recipes, opine on fitness fashion ‘looks’ and share workouts. There’s a markedly increased thirst for fitness knowledge too – people want to educate themselves on what to eat, how to train but also why they’re doing it in the first place, and how it all fits together. WARM UP THE COLD SHOULDER !!!
Shoulders that are sculpted and beautifully proportioned can look phenomenal on both women and men – they help to make the stature look more imposing by giving the illusion of a narrower waist and broader top. For women especially, great shoulders can create a fantastic balance between the hips (lower body) and the rest of the upper torso, accentuating curves to promote the ‘hourglass’ shape. A LITTLE MOUNTAIN VIDEO !!!
You guys asked for it, so here’s my first ever attempt at a ‘Blog Trip’ video 🙂 Whenever I travel abroad, I make use of the hotel gym and train outside as much as I can, so I wanted to include some workout ideas in the video for you. Pool, stairs, furniture… whatever you can find – they’re all gym equipment!
It’s set in the breathtaking arena of the Moroccan Atlas Mountains, at Richard Branson’s sumptuous ‘Kasbah Tamadot‘ which includes my personal favourite – their gym which is built INTO the mountain side!!! I hope you like it 🙂 Faya x

Xmas morning, preparing for a day of festive eating, so decided on a quick 30 minute skip and stretch, whilst trying out my new all-singing all dancing training clothes. They’re from a shop that’s only just opened up in London (right by Sloane Square), called Lululemon Athletica who are huge in America, and their clothes are perfect for what I want; comfy, fitted, breathable, 4-way stretch etc. I absolutely love the company’s look – feminine, sporty and still very practical, which I find pretty rare in training clothes.
