I recently had the super exciting opportunity to partner with Triumph, the legendary lingerie makers, for the launch of their #FindTheOne campaign, which is all about seeking out that perfectly-fitting, sumptuously comfy bra. Aside from being asked to bring to light one of my strongest beliefs – the importance of wellness and the associated lifestyle – it also made me think more coherently about ‘body confidence’. I’ve long been planning to write a piece on body confidence but the time hasn’t seemed right until now; this project gave me the perfect opportunity to broach the subject which matters to so many of us. LONGCHAMP ON TOAST !!!
I’m super excited to share with you the photos from my collaboration with Selfridges and Longchamp, one of my absolute favourite fashion houses; to me, their brand speaks of classic 70’s glamour, which felt so appropriate for the South of France. We shot these images a fortnight ago as the Riviera sun rose at dawn, whilst enjoying a sun-soaked stroll along Cap Ferrat’s famous Chemin de la Carrière; the route is a romantic little cobbled path which meanders all the way around this gorgeous peninsula. Living that close to the ocean means a diet rich in lean protein, and during my long weekend in this little paradise, I very much stuck to that! I receive a lot of emails asking how I feel about ‘summer diets’, so this post tackles how to stay on the healthy ‘straight and narrow’ during the summer months ahead! GETTING BEACH READY FOR SUMMER !!!
With spring well-and-truly upon us, my mind inexorably jumps ahead to the Summer’s escape, to a gorgeous warm destination, passing lazy long days on the beach, jumping listlessly into the sea, savouring romantic dinners in floaty chiffon dresses… But far too often the lead up to summer can feel stressful and daunting, due to the fear of feeling uncomfortable or unhappy in your own skin (which is totally normal!). The number one ethos of Fitness On Toast is to aspire to a healthy mind and body, and effect a long term lifestyle change which is realistic and enjoyable; to be the healthiest, best version of yourself that you can be. In a heavily retouched world where the superficial is constantly scrutinised, it’s sometimes nice to get a little reminder of that!
I don’t endorse panic diets or frantically unreasonable ‘last minute workout’ routines; for me, it’s about consistency, balance and lifestyle adaptation. Rather than leaving ‘the fitness thing’ to the very last minute (1-2 weeks before), why not get into a healthy, realistic, structured routine a good 3 months early?!
